Obama used his ‘jobs summit’ an an opportunity to slam small business owner for creating a new culture of not hiring and squeezing profits out of the employees they still have.

Despite the progress we’ve made many businesses are still skittish about hiring.  Some are still digging themselves out of loses they incurred over the past year.  Many have figured out how to squeeze more productivity out of fewer workers, and that cost cutting has become embedded in their operations and in their culture.  That may result in good profits but its not translating into hiring.  So that’s the question we have to ask ourselves today.  How do we get businesses to start hiring again?

Mr. President.  Why do you continue to blame the people?  I understand you hate profit.  I understand that you wish to use it as a way to pit the employee against the employer.  For someone who is sooo like Lincoln, you have obviously never read what he has written on the subject.  How is a business supposed to pay an employee if it does not profit?  Or is it that you wish the government to take that over as well?

Your Jobs summit is a Joke summit.  For this economy to get started again, this administration is going to have to leave and one that is friendly to the free market take its place and believes in reducing taxes on ALL Americans who pay them.

I look forward to the end of your term, for the sake of those you claim to represent.

Ok, now that I have vented, Ill try a more rational analysis of the quote above.  Obama mentions progress.  What progress?  Oh, yeah, you mean the progress Government has made in taking over any and every part of the private sector it has been able to get its hands on (i.e. mortgage, banking, auto, loans).

For Obama, money has always been there.  He has always worked for or been involved with organizations that did not create their own profits in order to function, their funding comes from donations or fund raising.  In his experience, the non-profit, first they find the people, then the money comes in.  With real business, profits are the only way to pay employee’s.  First you have to find the profits, then you find the people.  Obama lives in a different world than most of us, and it shows.

This ‘jobs summit’ means the politicians are running out of ideas, not to create jobs, but to hide from the public their wanton destruction of the American livelihood.
