Obama’s ‘So-Called’ Founders…

Obama’s ‘So-Called’ Founders…

In his college thesis, of which little is available to the public, there are a few lines which express what Barak Obama really believes about our American Constitution.

“… the Constitution allows for many things, but what it does not allow is the most revealing. The so-called Founders did not allow for economic freedom. While political freedom is supposedly a cornerstone of the document, the distribution of wealth is not even mentioned. While many believed that the new Constitution gave them liberty, it instead fitted them with the shackles of hypocrisy.”

In this quote Obama claimed the Founders did not address wealth redistribution.  As it turns out, the quote is fake. It has not been traced back to anything thesis written by Barrak Obama.  The Presidents is quoted, and recorded as saying the Bill of Rights is a document of “negative rights”, only saying what the Government can’t do TO you, not FOR you… What is Barak Obama’s main objective? Redistribution of wealth.

What did the Founders have to say about it?

The Founding Fathers

The Founding Fathers

Thomas Jefferson

(in his first inaugural)“…a wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.”

(Letter to Albert Gallatin)“Congress has not unlimited powers to provide for the general welfare, but only those specifically enumerated.”

(1816 “Political Economy”)“To take from one because it is thought that his own industry and that of his father’s has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association–’the guarantee to every one of a free exercise of his industry and the fruits acquired by it.”

John Adams

(a defense of the American Constitutions) – “The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence. If ‘Thou shalt not covet’ and ‘Thou shalt not steal’ were”

Our Founding Fathers did indeed discuss wealth redistribution.  They do not mention such ideas in the Constitution because it had no place in a free society.  They didn’t believe in it.  Barak Obama has either, never seriously studied the writings of the founders, or has, and deliberately misrepresents them to Americans.

Obama's Founding Fathers?

In an insane world, we are blessed to be able to refer to those who came before us for a little clarity…
